The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), being one of the largest educational boards of India, conducts the Class 12th examination every year, for which approximately 10 lakhs students appear annually. The CBSE class 12 exams 2017 saw 10,98,981 students registering for the exams which is a 2.82% rise in the numbers as compared to last year.

The exams for 2016-2017 session is held from 9 March to 29 April, 2017 as per the latest CBSE Class 12 Time Table 2017. Most of the central, state and private universities start their admission process after the declaration ofCBSE 12th results.
